The creative objective for Wake the Dead was to give them a branding system that is well unified. Currently, they lack consistent branding, but have an identity that sets them apart from other local coffee houses in San Marcos. The goal is to have them remain original but to create a branding system that matches their brand personality.

The logo redesign is inspired by a coffin and a tall coffee mug that when brought together would create the illusion of the coffin opening and the dead waking up. Bringing in a strong and aggressive brand voice for Wake the Dead would help match the feeling of a wake up call. The new brand identity was created to help set Wake the Dead apart from other local coffee shops by making it fun and loud.
